Privacy Policy

Scratch Map ("the app") is made by Solvra Studio. It is built to keep your travel history private. This policy explains what the app stores and where.

What the app stores

Where it is stored

On your device, and — if you're signed in to iCloud — in your own private iCloud database and iCloud key-value storage, so your map syncs between your Apple devices and survives reinstalling. Solvra Studio cannot access your iCloud data. There is no Scratch Map account and no Scratch Map server holding your map.

Together links

When you tap Share my map, the app creates a link containing your chosen first name and the list of places you've marked. That link goes only to the people you send it to. The map data sits in the part of the link after "#", which browsers never send to our web server. Anyone you share the link with can see that map; you can stop sharing updates at any time by not sending new links.

Backups

If you create a backup, it's a file you save wherever you choose (for example Google Drive, Dropbox or Files). That provider's own privacy policy applies to the copy you store there.

Analytics and tracking

The app does not include advertising, does not track you across apps or websites, and never asks for your device's location. You mark places yourself.

To understand how the app is used, it sends anonymous usage events to Mixpanel, our analytics provider: for example which screens and features are used, that onboarding was finished, that a country got a status or a city search found nothing, paywall views and purchases, and the topic you pick when sending feedback (never your message), with counts (how many countries, cities or Together people — never which ones), whether Pro is active, your map style, and basic device information (app version, iOS version, device model). Events are tied to a random identifier, not to your name, Apple Account or email. We never send which places you've marked or your Together people. You can turn analytics off at any time in Settings → Data & privacy.

Purchases

Scratch Map Pro is purchased through Apple, and payment details are handled by Apple. To unlock Pro and restore purchases, RevenueCat, our purchase provider, receives your purchase and subscription status with an anonymous customer identifier. It is linked to your Apple Account for billing, never to your name or email.

Notifications

If you turn on the monthly reminder, it is scheduled on your device. No notification data is sent to us.

Deleting your data

Settings → Erase my map removes your places and Together people from your devices and iCloud. Deleting the app removes local data; iCloud data can also be removed in your device's iCloud settings.

Children

The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
